Composed of<strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\"> 26 bones, 16 joints, 20 muscles and over 100 ligaments<\/mark><\/strong>As it carries the weight of the body, it's essential to preserve it. It can also be the source of pain, sometimes very intense, particularly when a Hallux valgus is formed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This progressive deformation is characterized by the appearance of<strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\">a bump on the forefoot<\/mark><\/strong>. The big toe is at the origin of this outgrowth. When the big toe gradually tilts onto the second toe, it causes the first metatarsal to deviate. The joint becomes protruding, causing severe pain when walking. Starting with genetics, <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\">Hallux valgus is often hereditary<\/mark><\/strong>. Most women are affected, with the deformity appearing progressively between the ages of 40 and 50. Anatomy also plays a role: when the foot is naturally wide, so-called \"Egyptian\" feet, where the first toe is longer than the others, are prone to this type of deviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can see that <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\">heels<\/mark><\/strong> and pointed toes, when worn daily, can lead to Hallux valgus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, other pathologies can increase the risk of this type of deformity. Discomfort gradually appears with footwear, and repeated rubbing becomes unpleasant.<br> <\/li><li><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\"><strong>The deformation <\/strong>:<\/mark> Here again, the appearance of a growth is progressive.<br>  <\/li><li><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\"><strong>Loss of function of the big toe<\/strong> : <\/mark>deviation of the big toe can lead to load transfer to the other four toes. The latter gradually retract and take on the shape of claws.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In more advanced stages, there is a real risk of cartilage destruction or even infection.
