What is coxarthrosis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cartilage is a fibrous membrane that allows the ends of a joint to slide over each other. We speak of osteoarthritis<\/mark><\/strong> when the cartilage undergoes significant wear, it loses thickness and deteriorates abnormally, impacting the whole joint. Movements then become extremely painful, creating a real handicap for the patient. To date, there is no cure for osteoarthritis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We speak of coxarthrosis<\/mark><\/strong> when the hip cartilage is affected. This is one of the most common forms of osteoarthritis. The coxofemoral joint, which joins the femur to the pelvis, degrades, causing severe pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
