How does wound healing work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the event of a cut, burn or injury, skin tissue is damaged and must be rebuilt. This process is called healing<\/mark><\/strong>. In a natural way for the smallest wounds, or through surgery, the edges are reconstructed and leave a more or less visible trace, the scar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The skin, made up of three distinct layers, protects our body by forming a semi-permeable envelope<\/mark><\/strong>. The visible part of the skin is the epidermis, the superficial layer in direct contact with the outside world. Next comes the dermis. Variable in thickness depending on the region of the body, the dermis is a connective tissue. Finally, the hypodermis is the deepest and thickest layer of the skin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
