It mainly affects people between the ages of 30 and 40, and women are more susceptible, with twice as many cases as men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\">The main symptoms are :<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>intestinal transit disorders such as constipation, diarrhea or both,<\/li><li>abdominal pain<\/li><li>almost constant intestinal discomfort<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Irritable bowel syndrome is not a serious condition, but a chronic disease that is difficult to quantify. <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-sante-color\">only 15% of patients suffering from this disorder consult their GP<\/mark><\/strong>. Pain is mainly caused by the passage of food through the large intestine. When the intestinal muscles contract too quickly, the colon does not have enough time to absorb the water contained in the food, resulting in diarrhea.
